The Reluctant Mandrake | Handmade Mandrake Root Sculpture & Botanical Oddity
$85.00
Apparently, this little mandrake would prefer to stay in his pot.
Hand-sculpted with air-dry clay and hand-painted. This wonderfully grumpy mandrake root is very expressive and wants you to know exactly how he feels.
The pot is made from sturdy cardboard/paper mache and features an Original botanical label designed specifically for mandrake specimens in Blade's Menagerie. I first hand-drew the mandrake using ink and markers, then scanned the artwork and digitally designed the finished label in Adobe illustrator.
One-of-a-kind art sculpture. Decorative use only. artificial foliage.
Measures approximately 10"x 5.5"
Materials used: air-dry clay, paint, cardboard pot, fabric paper, ink, glue, and artificial foliage
